HANZO HASASHI

HISTORY:

Born to the Hasashi family , Makuri and Fumio , Hanzo was raised with Shirai Ryu customs . Unfortunately his mother , Fumio , died at childbirth and left the boy to be raised alone with his father .Training underneath his father was no easy task . The moment Hanzo was able to do things for himself , Grandmaster Makuri took the boy to Shirai Ryu Woods to train . Though he would leave his son there alone for days on end . As a result , Hanzo was more feral than that of a child . He could not speak well and his mannerisms were that of an animal .During his time in the forest , he came across a boy named Kenshi Takahashi . The two became close friends despite the language and mannerism barrier . They practically grew up together and Kenshi was able to teach him things that his own father refused to .At the same time , he had also met Bi - Han of the Lin Kuei where the two would train together on the outskirts of territories . At least until they were caught and punished / forbidden to see each other again .At the age of 16 and enraged with how controlling and neglectful his father was , Hanzo murdered Makuri . In turn , he would take the Grandmaster mantle at such an age .During this time , he entered a romantic relationship with Kenshi that only lasted about sixish years before they were forced to go their separate ways thanks to his mother's father who forced Hanzo to marry a woman of the Shirai Ryu Clan for he needed to bare an heir to the Grandmaster title .Over time , Hanzo fell in love with Harumi but his heart belonged to Kenshi . Even as he had a child with her - it was not the same . Though he loved Satoshi with all of his being . So much so that he decided to change the ways of the Shirai Ryu to the best of his abilities .He was able to establish a common ground , becoming best friends with the Lin Kuei grandmaster , Bi Han . The two swore nothing would tear that apart .But on one unfortunate night , the Lin Kuei invaded Shirai Ryu grounds . Unbeknownst to Hanzo , it was lead by the sorcerer , Quan Chi , posing as Bi Han and Sektor . His clan ? Killed . Hanzo was forced to witness both Harumi's and Satoshi's death by the hand of ' Bi Han ' ( Quan Chi ). Then his own death by the same .Waking up in Netherrealm , Hanzo was tortured daily by his own mind and by the demons of the realm . Up until he heard of a way to get his revenge . Shinnok , the God of the Realm . In a fit of desperation and rage , the ninja fought through demons of Netherrealm until he reached Shinnok's tower . He was met with Quan Chi and demanded a way back to get revenge .Quan Chi countered the demand with an offer . To fight and win for Netherrealm in Mortal Kombat . If he were to agree , Hanzo would have the ability to take his revenge on Bi - Han .He agreed - and the sorcerer binded him to a demon named ' Scorpion ' . However , it fed off of Hanzo's rage and thirst for vengeance . Scorpion became so strong it took over his body .

HEADCANONS:

- The Shirai Ryu Grandmaster mantle is passed down through the heir killing the current Grandmaster after years of training . However , this is now obsolete as Hanzo changed this rule to save future heirs from the trauma .- To be a member of the Shirai Ryu , one must be branded with the symbol . The Grandmaster is burned with the giant symbol on their back . Heirs wait until they obtain the title and normal members get a smaller brand on any part of their body of choice . This is also obsolete as of when Hanzo rebuilt the Shirai Ryu as second time , only requiring a tattoo instead of a brand .- Hanzo's chain spear is bound to his body and soul . And it is also the demon ' scorpion ' . It is alive and comes from his wrists .- Hanzo is pan but has a heavy male lean .- Sees Takeda as more than just a student but as a son as well .- A magnificent cook .- Hanzo is STILL a spectre , white eyes and all . When Kenshi aided him to tame the demon , he wasn't resurrected but simply learned to be human again .- he REGRETS killing bi han after learning the truth . Especially since they were close friends . He takes responsibility that he should have trusted his friend over the Sorcerer but also knew that it really wasn't him but Scorpion possessing his rage and body .- Summoning the Hellfires is very painful for him . Not physically but mentally as it forces him to relive every single moment of his past .- Hanzo still has a thing for Kenshi and will always love him even though they were forced to go their separate ways .- he is very romantic and takes very good care of his significant other .
